"To strengthen democracy, voting should not be conducted on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), but rather on ballot papers. We are making this demand before the Election Commission."

Why voting should be on ballot paper?

  • Serious allegations are being raised by all political parties in India against EVMs.
  • In all advanced countries of the world, the use of EVMs is banned and elections are conducted on ballot papers.
  • The Election Commission conducted elections on ballot papers for many years. Counting was smooth, no malpractice happened, and results were accepted by all parties.
  • Voters felt more confident in exercising their democratic right. But EVMs have not proven trustworthy.

For safe voting, ballot paper is a must.
